In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At home my parents used to listen to Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, the Norman Luboff Choir and Astrud Gilberto. In my family we all used to sing and play an instrument. I grew up with music! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Antônio Carlos Jobim, Urubu Dori Caymmi, Brasilian Serenata Elis Regina, Essa Mulher These albums are amongst my favorite albums, for I never get tired of listening to them and they alway inspire and challenge me. But it's really hard to choose only 3 albums from the longlist of artists that have inspired me: Ivan Lins, João Bosco Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Plus fort que nous (feat. Ivan Lins)” I'm very proud of this duet with Ivan Lins, the first song of our upcoming album Done Presença. I usually sing in Portugese, of Dutch, but this duet is in French, and I love it, for I used to sing in French when I accompanied myself on guitar. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? After the release of Tribute to Jobim, Dori Caymmi invited me to sing in Rio de Janeiro in Canecão concerthall. Twenty years before I had seen Elizete Cardoso and Baden Powell on the same stage, an unforgettable concert and there I was on that stage! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Too many dreams! Continuing to travel around the globe to sing, perform and record!
