Jaill

About Jaill

With eight years under their belt, the Milwaukee-based jangly guitar pop group Jail got their big break when they signed a two-album deal with Sub Pop in November of 2009. With the new, more prominent label came a name change to Jaill (note the extra L) when it was discovered that another band shared their name. After their breakout success, There’s No Sky (Oh My My), a sequel was planned for the following year. That’s How We Burn, their first album recorded with outside help, was recorded in Milwaukee’s Mystery Room studio with Justin Perkins and officially released on July 27, 2010. Sub Pop released the album along with the 2012 follow up Traps. ~ Jason Lymangrover
