IV Of Spades are an anomaly in Pinoy indie rock, but Blaster Silonga, Zild Benitez and Badjao de Castro have never settled for the ordinary. After some initial success and the departure of their former vocalist in 2018, the trio entered a metamorphosis that resulted in their 2019 debut Clapclapclap! topping Apple Music PH on release. A new IV Of Spades emerged that didn’t shy away from psychedelia, soft rock and funk. The stakes were high for the band to prove themselves, and if their reinvention confirmed anything it’s that they’re a triple threat poised to redefine OPM.
