Genus Ordinis Dei is an Italian symphonic death metal group combining technical prowess and epic storytelling. Established in 2011 by a circle of professional music instructors, the band inked a worldwide deal with Eclipse ahead of the release of their acclaimed sophomore LP, 2017's Great Olden Dynasty, which, like its 2013 predecessor, is part of a narrative trilogy. 2019's Glare of Deliverance and its 2023 prequel, The Beginning, continued in that vein while pairing the group's ambitious narratives with high-concept videos.
