Dum Dum Boys are a rock & roll band formed in the city of Nice on the French Riviera in the mid-'80s. Inspired by the raw sounds of bands like Suicide, the Velvet Underground, and the Stooges, they released their first full-length, Nothing Means Nothing, in 1987. Over the next decade they would release four more LPs that would explore a variety of fuzz-toned, punk, and rock styles. The band remained active in the early 2000s, continuing their explorations with albums like 2001's Soul Bondage Deluxe and 2003's Kiss Me Deadly, though nearly a decade would pass before their next studio effort. 2011's Flesh! Trash! Heat! marked a grand return with its mix of garage bangers and trippy, lo-fi electro-rock. ~ Timothy Monger
