Scottish singer/songwriter Callum Beattie rekindles the blue-collar, working-class pop torch lit by strummers like Del Amitri and gives it a contemporary sheen. Drawn from his own life experiences, Beattie's emotional, heart-on-sleeve style of songwriting has connected with fans, with songs like "Salamander Street" and "Don't Walk Alone" becoming hits. His debut LP, People Like Us, arrived in 2020 and topped the Scottish album charts, while his sophomore set, Vandals, was issued in 2023.
