Leader of the Magna Jazz Band in London since the mid-'50s, Brian White is a fine veteran clarinetist who (along with trumpeter Alan Gresty) was responsible for the rewarding tribute to Muggsy Spanier titled Muggsy Remembered; he has recorded several easily available and rewarding CDs for Jazzology. ~ Scott Yanow
