About Andrea Alvarez

Latin rock musician Andrea Alvarez was one of the first female drummers in Argentina. She played along with Maria Gabriela Epumer and Claudia Sinesi in a threesome called Rouge. In addition, the talented percussionist trained in her country and the U.S. and played for prominent local numbers such as Divididos, Soda Stereo, Enanitos Verdes, and Charly García. After assembling her own band called Pulsomadre, Andrea Alvarez teamed up with producer Emilio Haro to make a self-titled debut album which was independently released in 2001. ~ Drago Bonacich
