About Dre Murro

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I've been singing since I was two years old, starting with leading Gospel songs in the Youth Choir, which my Nana directed at Mountain Spring Baptist Church in Stem, NC. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Nipsey Hussle, Victory Lap SiR, Chasing Summer USHER, Confessions (Expanded Edition) 'Confessions' was the first explicit album my Mom bought for me, and I learned every lyric from front to back, along with every ad-lib. 'Chasing Summer' is flawless, modern R&B. 'Victory Lap' is like music therapy for any young Black male artist. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Word Of Mouf” 'Word of Mouf' is incredibly special to me because the lyrics reveal much about my life. From dealing with depression to navigating my relationship(s)... this track gets DEEP in the most relatable ways. I'm proud of myself for expressing so much. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career had to be when Young Dolph burst out of the vocal booth at Patchwerk Studios in ATL after recording his verse on "Know U Know" and said, "On my Son, this a HIT! You gotta push this!". Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Ryan (my Son) getting to see his Dad perform to a sold-out crowd of thousands. Studio session(s) with D'Angelo/Usher/Musiq Soulchild/Chris Brown/Trey Songz. Grammy trophies on my mantel. My Bucket List goes on and on...
