About Chris Renzema

Singer-songwriter Chris Renzema said he started making music as a high school student in Grand Rapids, Michigan, inspired by “a steady diet of early ’70s folk, punk rock, and Wilco.” ∙ Renzema self-released his first EP, 2014’s Age to Age—a collection of duets with singer Moriah Hazeltine—when he was 18. ∙ After moving to Nashville, his 2018 full-length debut, I’ll Be The Branches, attracted the notice of contemporary Christian label Centricity Music, which signed him. ∙ He cowrote his hit single “Springtime” with Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter Hank Bentley (Crowder, Lauren Daigle, Laura Story). ∙ In 2020, he was nominated for a Dove Award for New Artist of the Year.
