About FSQ

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Summer of 1983 was wild! I was 12 years old but deep. George Clinton's "Atomic Dog" sounded like a new wave anthem. Girls at kids camp were wearing out the new Tom Tom Club cassette. I loved the Grace Jones' "Nightclubbing" LP. - Chuck Da Fonk, FSQ What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Duran Duran, Rio (Collectors Edition) Parliament, Greatest Hits (The Bomb) - Parliament Yello, Stella (Deluxe Edition) Yello's "Stella" unlike anything before, mind blowing sonics + fused new wave with world music, R&B. Duran Duran's "Rio" put funk on pop radio + advanced music videos into esoterica. Parliament's "Greatest Hits" great intro to a vast P-Funk empire. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Cadillac Villa (feat. Fantine) [FSQ Caribbean Disco Remix]” You can find our original songs on our Apple Music profile, but our secret sauce is remix productions for other artists. Our FSQ Caribbean Disco remix of Bad Business Club's "Cadillac Villa" may be the most slick productions we ever made. So funky! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Working with funk greats - George Clinton, Nona Hendryx, Fonda Rae, Dolette McDonald, the whole Parliament-Funkadelic band - and releasing an album with their input - FSQ's "Reprise Tonight" out via Soul Clap Records in 2020. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We want to come to YOUR TOWN and perform for YOU! DM us on Instagram and let us know where you want us to DJ or play live with our backing band, FSQ and The SQ's.
