Placing melodic and uplifting Britpop-inspired choruses over a synth-heavy electro-indie foundation, this 2015-formed Leeds, U.K. quintet count heavyweights such as Oasis, U2 and New Order among their biggest influences. BBC 6Music's Steve Lamacq gave prestigious radio airtime to Apollo Junction's second single, 2018's "Begin," before Janice Long invited them to record a Radio 2 session, reinforcing the breadth of their appeal. In 2019, "In Your Arms" appeared on their debut album, Mystery, alongside "Begin" (and their first single, "Paris"). 2021's infectious "Two Car Family" preceded their second LP, All In. 2022 provided the band with an opportunity to both take stock and follow fresh creative leads, resulting in 2023's Here We Are, a mature record featuring sparkling arrangements, which made the lower reaches of the U.K. album chart.
