Formed in the early 2000s around some of Los Angeles' most accomplished musicians, including Tool drummer Danny Carey, Pigmy Love Circus guitarist John Ziegler, Jimmy Kimmel Live! house band keyboard player Jeff Babko, and session player/Don Henley touring bassist Lance Morrison, Volto! specialize in heady, genre-spinning jazz-fusion rock that bridges the gap between King Crimson, Liquid Tension Experiment, and the Mars Volta. The band spent nearly a decade limiting their output to live performances before heading into the studio with veteran engineer Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, Bad Religion), to lay down tracks for their 2013 debut, Incitare. ~ James Christopher Monger
