About Ukiyo

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of the earliest memories I still have that I relate closely to where I am now is me locking myself away in my room with James Blunt's 'Back to Bedlam' on repeat trying to transcribe it by ear. Can't have been much older than 9 or 10. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Flume, Flume John Williams, London Symphony Orchestra, Star Wars: A New Hope (Original Motion Picture Score) Porter Robinson, Nurture 3 albums that have had a huge impact on my musical journey. Star Wars was the reason I wanted to make music in the first place, Flume's debut album opened my eyes to what I could do on a laptop & Nurture has had a huge influence on my new music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Make It Better (feat. Bajillionaire & Brewer)” An underrated track on the album in my opinion. It released just as I was working hard on getting on top of my mental health so it sort of became an anthem for that in my eyes & holds a special place in my heart. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Waking up to find my song 'Calling' had been used in one of Casey Neistat's videos is still probably the most memorable just because of how unexpected it was and how much it changed my life instantly. Netflix is a close second. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? A million things or I'd have quit by now. So many people I want to work with, so many things I want to do & so many ideas to bring to life.
