About Telefon Tel Aviv

Formed by principal members Charles Cooper and Joshua Eustis in 1999, the electronic group Telefon Tel Aviv earned a name for itself in the clubs of New Orleans and Chicago. Featured on Nine Inch Nails' 2000 remix album, THINGS FALLING APART, Cooper and Eustis released their debut, FAHRENHEIT FAIR ENOUGH, influenced by everything from IDM and drum'n'bass to Chicago post-rock to Debussy, in 2001 The soulful MAP OF WHAT IS EFFORTLESS, which boasted the breakout single "My Week Beats Your Year," followed in 2004. REMIXES COMPILED, issued in 2007, collected the duo's remix work for artists including Nine Inch Nails, American Analog Set, and Apparat. The sparse, emotionally direct IMMOLATE YOURSELF followed in early 2009. In a tragic turn, Charles Cooper died unexpectedly one night that same season.
