About Plan B

Puerto Rico's raunchiest reggaetón duo, Plan B, was formed by cousins Orlando Javier Valle Vega (a.k.a. Chencho) and Edwin Vázquez Vega (a.k.a. Maldy), who defined the sweaty perreo throwdowns of the new millennium. Hailing from Guayama, the pair came together in 1999 under the name The Panic, appearing the following year on foundational DJ Blass mixtape Reggaeton Sex Vol. 2 with the song “Plan B,” and pivoting into the iconic moniker soon after. The duo debuted in 2002 with El Mundo del Plan B, boasting features from rising superstars Daddy Yankee and Ñejo—and establishing a sex-fueled signature that carried through subsequent releases Los Nenes del Blin Blin (2005) and House of Pleasure(2010). Plan B's god status was cemented with 2014 blockbuster Love and Sex, which blasted into the stratosphere with dynamite singles “Fanática Sensual” and “Candy.” Though Chencho and Maldy split in 2018, they've each launched prolific solo careers in the years since, lending winning features to Bad Bunny's “Me Porto Bonito” and KAROL G's “GATÚBELA,” respectively.
