AOE

AOE (Ambassadors of Earth) is a left-field pop duo consisting of singer/multi-instrumentalist Phil Beaudreau and veteran hip-hop producer Dawaun Parker (Jay-Z, Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar). The duo's songs are dreamy and experimental, yet contain fairly direct sentiments of loneliness and longing, and at times they sound like a blend of Kid A-era Radiohead and the Weeknd. The duo began uploading AOE songs to SoundCloud in 2013. Over the next few years, they had uploaded a handful of originals as well as covers of the Beach Boys and Jhené Aiko. After signing to Def Jam, AOE released debut single "I'm Right This Time" in early 2017. The track was accompanied by an intense, colorful animated music video that was created by Beaudreau over the course of two years. ~ Paul Simpson
