About Zella Day

Arizona native Zella Day is a singer-songwriter known for her evocative vocals and moody, introspective songwriting. ∙ One of her first major solo appearances was a vocal feature on “All These Roads,” a single released by the Canadian electro duo Sultan & Ned Shepard. ∙ Her 2015 major label debut, Kicker, debuted at No. 7 on Billboard’s Alternative Albums chart and featured “Hypnotic,” an iTunes Single of the Week. ∙ In 2019, she joined Lana Del Rey and Weyes Blood onstage at the Hollywood Bowl for a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “For Free.” ∙ Day is known for her transformative song interpretations, including a sparse 2012 take on The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” and 2020’s synth-rock redo of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train.”
