Dean & Britta

About Dean & Britta

Alternative rock heroes Dean Wareham (Galaxie 500, Luna) and Britta Phillips (the Belltower, Luna, and the voice of Jem in the cartoon series Jem and the Holograms) formed the duo of Dean & Britta after becoming romantically involved in the early 2000s. They released their breezy debut, L'Avventura in 2003. Following the 2004 dissolution of Luna, Dean & Britta made their partnership official with the release of the 2006 EP Words You Used to Say. This was followed in early 2007 by the full-length Back Numbers, a collaboration with Pete Kember, aka Sonic Boom of Spacemen 3 and Experimental Audio Research fame. ~ Stewart Mason
