About When Rivers Meet

This raucous Essex, England-based, husband-and-wife blues-rock duo were formed in 2016 and comprise Grace and Aaron Bond. Grace’s passionate and soulful lead vocal lines and Aaron’s riff-based guitar work suggest mainstream appeal, while Grace’s simultaneous use of a slide resonator mandolin and violin lace their work with an earthy, 1930s Delta blues vibe. Two EPs -- 2019’s The Uprising and 2020’s Innocence of Youth -- were swiftly followed by their debut album, We Fly Free, a comparatively live-sounding set. This release led to them winning in four categories at May 2021’s UKBlues Awards. They followed this success later that year with a second album, Saving Grace.
