About DIM

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. DIM's fascination with atmospheric music began early on in the midst of more than a decade of classical training as Rachmaninoff's haunting tones rang true. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dead Can Dance, Dead Can Dance (Remastered) SPK, Zamia Lehmanni (Songs of Byzantine Flowers) Summoning, Minas Morgul Summoning got me into metal early on (and later dungeon synth), Dead Can Dance blew my imagination wide open all the way into adulthood, and SPK made me realize how many chances one can truly take in art. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Not Flesh But Spirit!” This song is special because it is derived from something I wrote over ten years ago. It is also my own secret homage to a very important artist, Biosphere. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? So far, my most memorable moment is finishing Steeped Sky! I wanted to write that record my whole life but could not do it until that point. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to write fifty albums, to play live, and to be responsible for the new classification of "sacred electronics", the worlds connecting medievalism and futurism.
