Earliest musical memories include knowing that this beat that I am feeling, the melody that I am hearing, makes me want to do this ! It was never a conscious choice, it is simply a compulsion to create and exist within the music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Metallica, Load Nirvana, Nevermind (Remastered) Red Hot Chili Peppers, Californication (Remastered) As a group we all grew up listening to a variety of music from a diverse pool of artists. Collectively these three albums represent the bands that inspired us most growing up. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Love in Space” It has to be Love in Space because it is a true reflection of where we are in terms of our writing. The moment and anticipation of what lies ahead is captured in the music and pictured intensely in the lyrics. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? As a group of average guys growing up in a normal hard working town on the unforgiving East Rand of South Africa, I am most proud of what we achieved with close to zero funding ! Hard work, passion and sweat has put us in a position to share our art. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There is always another dream on the Horizon for The Color Blew. We have a extensive bucket lists which includes playing every Festival we can in South Africa and then spreading our wings to share our music internationally.
