Whether you’ve been following Grupo Firme since before “El Roto” or only got on board with their outstanding Carin Leon collaboration “El Tóxico,” Nos Divertimos Logrando Lo Imposible provides plenty for the romantics and rogues in their fanbase. With an album name as clever and confident as that, the Tijuana-bred band over-delivers on that titular promise with a dozen new tracks with appeal across both genres and generations of regional Mexican listeners. As always, frontman Eduin Caz sings forcefully and emotionally, bringing levity alongside love on “Me Gustas” and adding considerable heft to the already weighty “No Me Haces Bien.”
