On their 2017 studio debut, Underground, the five young members of T3r Elemento used the flashily melodic folk guitars of traditional Mexican sierreño to create catchy pop songs, throwing in nods to '50s doo-wop and '60s soul along the way. While this live recreation is less polished and poised, the Los Angeles/Las Vegas crew make up for it with an excess of joyous excitement as they strum hard through corridos like "Rafa Caro." And the stripped-down versions of Underground highlights like throwback R&B stunner "We Belong Together" let the soulful-beyond-his-years voice of frontman Kristopher Nava shine.
