Leader of extreme metal band Demonic Resurrection, Sahil Makhija cooks up a storm on The Propaganda Machine, his fourth LP under his Demonstealer moniker. The Mumbai vocalist and guitarist, who also hosts online keto-friendly food show Headbanger’s Kitchen, is well used to dealing with different ingredients. And here he adds some robust ones to the mix with drummers Hannes Grossmann and James Payne, as well as bassist Stian Gundersen, on eight blistering tracks. “Monolith of Hate” is a growling, intense highlight—as is “The Art of Disinformation”, a sharp and melodic critique of modern media.
