Though the title track of The Warrior’s Code finds Dropkick Murphys penning a stirring ode to boxing hero “Irish” Micky Ward, the group’s true nature might lean closer to the hilariously self-reflexive nice-guy tribute "Wicked Sensitive Crew." They’ve certainly demonstrated that they’re artists at heart, continuously finding ways to refine their rabble-rousing craft. "Captain Kelly's Kitchen" sees them hollering over one another as they ramp up to the shout-along chorus, while "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" transforms a Woodie Guthrie song into a Celtic-punk classic.
