Ween’s second album is as chaotic as their debut, but it shines a brighter light on their songwriting smarts. “Dr. Rock” isn’t just a cheeky simulacrum of glam metal; its glass-shattering shrieks are arena-worthy in their own right. You’d also be forgiven for thinking “Right to the Ways and the Rules of the World” was an outtake from Bowie’s Hunky Dory. Meanwhile, the narcotic jangle of “Pollo Asado” and “Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese” will give you the munchies in more ways than one.
