The aptly titled “It’s About Time” delivers Hagar’s most rocking recording with Van Halen, a hard-strutting song that boogies like a steroidal Black Crowes number. “Up for Breakfast” starts out sounding like “Everybody Wants Some!!”—save for a chorus that’ll make you want to skip straight to “Everybody Wants Some!!”—especially if your introduction to the song included a claymation cheeseburger playing Eddie’s solo in the 1985 movie Better Off Dead.
