Head Hunter

The immediacy and edginess of Krokus’ 1983 breakthrough album was due, in part, to their working with producer Tom Allom, who had previously produced/engineered Judas Priest and Black Sabbath. Reflecting his vast heavy-metal expertise, tracks like “Screaming in the Night,” “Eat the Rich,” and “Ready to Burn” bear a dark edge that would follow Krokus throughout the rest of the ‘80s. Showing early signs of the coming onslaught of speed metal, “Night Wolf” was one of the group’s more white-knuckled and forward-thinking tunes.
