Heart’s expansive second album leads off with “Barracuda,” which builds on the riff-and-roll promise of their debut’s smash “Crazy on You” by amping up its out-of-this-world vibes and chugging guitars. As Little Queen progresses, so do Ann and Nancy Wilson, who dip into funk’s danker grooves on the title track and jet off to the islands on the reggae-tinged “Say Hello.” Ann’s vocals are in commanding form throughout; on the wearily hopeful ballad “Treat Me Well,” Nancy takes center stage, to stirring effect.
