Simon & Garfunkel didn't release a live album during their active career. However, by their Jan. 22, 1967, appearance at Lincoln Center in New York City, their concerts were loaded with remarkable songs that often sounded best with just Paul Simon’s impeccable acoustic guitar skills accompanying the duo’s harmonies. The hits up to date—“The Sound of Silence,” “I Am a Rock,” “Homeward Bound,” “A Hazy Shade of Winter”—are all here, along with the rarities “A Church Is Burning” (which appeared on Paul Simon’s U.K.-only solo album The Paul Simon Songbook) and the eventual b-side “You Don’t Know Where Your Interest Lies.”
