The soundtrack to Shashank Kaitan’s grand remake of 2016 Marathi blockbuster Sairat is a riotous testament to whirlwind romance, with two star-crossed lovers straining against the shackles of an archaic social system. Ajay-Atul, who also composed music for the original film, constructs an aural extravaganza rife with emotional centrepieces. “Pehli Baar” is built around the haunting melody of Sairaat's runaway hit “Yad Lagla” and is a tribute to love both fresh and fleeting, while “Vaara Re” is a soaring paean to hope. Meanwhile, a reworked version of raucous classic “Zingaat” is an unmissable highlight.
