Blink-182's self-titled fourth album is all about change. Having achieved unprecedented success for a potty-mouthed pop-punk band, the trio aimed to switch up their sound here, adding elements of experimental rock and hip-hop. While "The Fallen Interlude" is a funky instrumental and "All of This" features a cameo from The Cure's Robert Smith, the band's impeccable sense of melody remains intact. "Feeling This" is as catchy as anything they've recorded, "I Miss You" contains the signature Blink mix of hooks and heart-on-sleeve lyrics, and "Down" is a midtempo rocker with an uncharacteristic yet inescapable chorus. The band went on hiatus after touring in support of this album, making it the capstone on a phenomenal run.
